I was
shopping at Best
Buy in Bethel Park, PA (Pittsburgh,PA).
I found a TIVO/DVR on sale and thought
it was a good buy. I purchased the
TIVO after asking the sales person
questions regarding the compatability
with my older television. He assured
me several times that I would have no
problem connecting this to my
television. I get the TIVO home, and
sure enough it is not compatable,
seems you cannot connect a TIVO thru
an RF switch, would have been helpful
to know this at the time of purchase.
At this point, a few weeks has gone
by, since I've had several friends try
and connect this, I decide its
hopeless and pack the TIVO up WITH MY
RECEIPT. I walk into the store (Best
Buy) and explained the
situation. They say sorry Ma'am, it
has been over 30 days since time of
purchase you cannot have a cash
refund. You can only have an even
exchange, I explained that I did not
want the TIVO since it was not
compatible, they said if they had
another in stock I would have to take
it, since they felt that the TIVO was
working incorrectly. They went to the
back and checked, seems they did not
have another, so they gave me store
credit. I feel I should have been able
to receive my cash back, considering
their salesperson assured me it would
work with my exisisting television.
This store always gives people a hard
time.

I
went to Best
Buy (Robinson Township)
Pittsburgh and bought ink for my
printer. I did not try to put the ink
in my printer until my current ink
cartridge was totally empty. After
about a month and a half, I tried to
put my new cartridge in. I found out I
got the wrong one. I took it back to Best
Buy with the receipt. They
said the can't give me money back for
the cartridge. I said that's fine,
I'll take store credit. Then they had
the gall to deny me store credit as
well because it has been over 30 days.
I can't believe that they wouldn't
even give me credit for a $30 ink
cartridge. What is wrong with this
place?
